Location:
I was introduced to hunting by my grandfather when I was only ten years old. Every Saturday morning, we would go squirrel hunting, and before long I was hooked on the outdoors. While squirrel hunting, I became more and more intrigued by the whitetail deer we would occasionally see and soon enjoyed them more than the actual squirrel hunt. In 1988, I got my first deer permit and spend every available minute teaching myself about deer hunting. Well..it took six long years, but during the 1994 Illinois shotgun season I harvested my first deer. Every since, I have became obsessed with bow hunting, food plotting, trail cameras and everything else that goes along with it. A few years ago, JJ Kolesar and myself were lucky enough to be selected as Team Illinois for Dream Season 3 television. This was a great experience and I look forward to many more of them in the future.
